Traffic directors

Police are replaced by traffic directors when escorting long, heavy, and wide exempted transports.

You will recognize traffic directors by their clothing and insignia, as well as the vehicles they use in performing their jobs. As a driver, you are obligated to follow the traffic director’s directions.

Rules regarding this entered legal force in 2005. The traffic director has the same rights as the police to issue directions to other drivers with police signals so that the transport can be carried out in a way conducive to traffic safety and which impedes other traffic as little as possible.
