The Ecological and Cultural Heritage standards establishes guidelines by the Swedish Transport Administration with regard to how state roads and railways are to be adapted to preserve and maintain the function of the landscape.
The document is directorial for all activities conducted by the Swedish Transport Administration. It reflects legislation, directives, assignments and national objectives.
The functional requirements ensures that the Swedish Transport Administration does not create future costs and unneccesary environmental harm.
