The Double-Track Ängelholm-Helsingborg, Romares väg Project will upgrade a 24-kilometre-long section of existing single track to double track between Ängelholm and Helsingborg, Romares väg. The section in question is part of the West Coast Line. Double track is a feature of the Government’s latest national transportation system plan for 2014-2025.
Upgrading to double track will increase capacity for train traffic and so reduce vulnerability in the railway system. Furthermore, the upgrade increases accessibility in the region with more modern stations at Kattarp, Ödåkra and Maria.
