The Stockholm bypass is freezing production by order of the Government

On the 23rd of October 2014, the Government decided to freeze production in the Stockholm bypass project until the 1st of May 2015.

During this period, the Swedish Transport Administration will only perform works that are connected to planning permission, as well as removal of safety threats for the public, or individuals in ongoing assignments.

This means that the process of applying for permission from the Environment Court will continue, but fieldwork will be stopped.

- We are now freezing the project point by point in accordance with the decision, with the intention of quickly being able to restart again on the 1st of May 2015 if no other decision has been made before that, says Project Director Johan Brantmark.

Regarding planned procurements during this period – no new tenders will be published and no new contracts will be signed.
