Badges
Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all participants are requested to wear their badge during all the Conference activities and social events.
Banks, Credit Cards and Currency Exchange
Banks are open between 09.30/10.00 and 15.00 on weekdays. Some banks in central Stockholm are open from 09.00 to 17.00. Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops. It is advisable to carry an identity card or other form of photo identification. The official currency is Swedish Krona (SEK). USD 1 = SEK 9.37, EUR 1 = SEK 9.78 (Dec, 2016). For money exchange, the companies "Forex" and "X-change" have offices at the airports and in the city. Opening hours and other information about exchange can be found at www.forex.se and www.x-change.se.
There are plenty of cash machines are available in central Stockholm.
Climate
The average temperature in June is around 18°C (64°F).
Drinking Water
The drinking water quality in Stockholm is of high and consistent quality, which means that you can drink it directly from the tap.

Electricity
Electrical current in Sweden is 220 V/50 Hz. Round, European-style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 Volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.
Meals
Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon coffee will be served during the conference.
The hotel provides breaktfast for the hotel guests.
Registration
Registration for the conference will be available from January 2017.
Time Zone
The time zone in Stockholm is GMT + 1 hour. Daylight Saving Time is used during the summer.
Tipping
A gratuity is included in the price of hotels and taxis. It is common to leave a tip of around 10%. However, when visiting restaurants, you can show your appreciation for good service by leaving a little extra.

Travel to Stockholm by train
Trains arrive at the Stockholm Central Station, located in the centre of the city and in close proximity to Clarion Hotel Sign, which is the venue for our conference and the hotel we recommend that you stay at.
Travel from Arlanda Airport to Stockholm Central Station
- Arlanda Express Train
This train journey takes about 20 minutes and costs SEK 280 one way (as of December 2016).
- Bus
From Arlanda Airport there is a direct bus connection to the Central Station in Stockholm. The bus journey takes about minutes from the airport and costs SEK 99 one way (as of December 2016).
- Taxi
Trips to and from Arlanda Airport should cost no more than SEK 600 each way (as of December 2016). The trip takes about 30-50 minutes. Recommended taxi companies, with a set price, include "Taxi Stockholm", "Taxi Kurir" and "Taxi 020 Stockholm". Be sure to check the price with the driver in advance. Major credit cards are accepted for payment.
Smoking policy
This is a non-smoking conference. Sweden has a non-smoking policy, i.e. smoking is prohibited in public buildings, public transport, restaurants, taxis, buses and trains.
VAT Refund Conditions
Swedish VAT, currently between 6% and 25% may be repaid to foreign enterprises, except banks and insurance companies, or companies providing health care or education.
Visa
Participants needing a visa for entry to Sweden are strongly advised to make their application in their home country and well in advance. If in doubt, information can be obtained from your nearest Swedish Embassy or consulate, or from your travel agency.
