Theory test in another language

The theory test for category B can be booked in another language. If you cannot read or understand Swedish you are able to apply for a theory test with an interpreter.

The theory test for category B has been translated into 15 different languages, and you choose which language you want to use when you book. You can switch the language to Swedish if you prefer during the test.

Theory test with an interpreter

You are seated in a separate room with the examiner and the interpreter during the test. Test procedure:

  • The examiner is seated in front of a computer screen and reads out questions and multiple choice answers in Swedish.
  • You are seated at your own screen on which you see test questions, images and videos.
  • The interpreter translates into your language.
  • You indicate on your screen that answer that you think is correct from among the choices provided.
  • You will be told immediately after the test if you passed or failed.

The person taking the test must be the one applying. Apply by logging in to the e-service with your BankID.
