New charge for hiring a car from 1 May
On 1 May, anyone wishing to hire a vehicle from the Swedish Transport Administration for a driving test will be required to pay a higher charge. The new charge is SEK 800.
Anyone who books a test requiring a vehicle before 1 May will pay the current charge (SEK 625), regardless of when the test is taken. If you reschedule your test after 1 May, the new charge (SEK 800) will apply. If the Swedish Transport Administration needs to reschedule your test after 1 May for any reason, the charge will be the same as it was before your test was rescheduled.
